PRAISE
FOR RED TAIL RING |
Michael Beauchamp
and Laurel Premo seem to be so deep into the tradition
that they are re-defining it. Amos Perrine,
No Depression
Red Tail Ring brings to the stage a lively
and commanding fusion of string and vocal harmonies.
The pair deliver both established ballads and original
compositions with a clear, authentic ease that manages
to transcend traditional form while honoring its
legacy. Rob Cole, Grand Rapids Press
Laurel Premo and Michael Beauchamp share a
reverence for vivid, authentic American art forms.
They are both rustic and elegant, and they lift
us into their sound. Seth Bernard, Earthwork

FALL
AWAY BLUES |
Fall Away Blues,
the fourth full-length studio album from Red Tail
Ring, is the culmination of years of writing, arranging,
rewriting, and recording by Beauchamp and Premo.
Tracked by Ian Gorman of Kalamazoos beloved
La Luna Studio, the album features eight original
songs, three traditional interpretations, and one
blistering tune.
Woven together by RTRs signature instrumental
variety (with guitar, fiddle, and both open-back
and gourd banjos) and close harmony singing, the
album spins tales of hard times, changing love,
and the challenge of finding a place in the world.
Fall Away Blues, the title track, exemplifies
the artistic thrust of the album by functioning
both as a declarative command and as a hopeful prayer
for better days ahead. |

and highly original folk music . . . a peerless duo."
- American Roots UK.
Fresh off their fourth full-length studio release 'Fall
Away Blues', Laurel and Michael are re-imagining Americana
music with pure soul. Featuring new songwriting fused
with old-time and country blues themes, Red Tail Ring

as well as the age-old themes of place and love.
Formed in 2009, they've performed their unique brand of
acoustic roots all over the United States and throughout
Canada, the UK and Europe including Denmark, Germany,
Finland, Norway and Sweden.
"Red Tail Ring doesn't just pay homage to vintage
folk and roots music
they breathe new life into
it, channelling the power and charm of seminal material
into its own original songs."- John Sinkevics, LocalSpins.
